Financial Aid and Scholarships Office

The office provides information and support to students, parents, veterans, and their families. Their mission is to ensure all admitted students have adequate financial aid resources available to attend UC San Diego. Their Financial Literacy page includes topics on budgeting, loan repayment, the FAFSA, credit, protecting your money, and money management. Short-term emergency loans of $500-$1000 are available to help students in critical short-term emergencies, however, funds are limited. A budget add-on request can be completed to increase your student budget or cost of attendance due to additional costs that are not part of your basic UCSD student budget.
